We had the crawfish (4lbs for $20). It was serviceable but we've had better crawfish in New Orleans. The crawfish while spicy was a little rubbery. The chicken wings were good, but the Louisianna sauce came from a hot sauce bottle. The stuff shrimp had a good flavor, but needed more stuffing.

This place makes Popeye's seem like a gourmet restaurant. The food is dry and tasteless like their service. I don't know how they have so many good reviews. I came in starving, but the food was so bad, I lost my appetite. The etouffee is some unknown liquid and it tasted TERRIBLE. I couldn't even tell it was supposed to be etouffee. The TaD bowl was literally cold rice with no sauce or flavor and cold toppings thrown on top. The po'boy was not toasted, had no sauce or flavor, but did have a good amount of shrimp. The only thing that was fine was the microwaved bisque. Not only that, they take safety precautions as seriously as they take flavoring the food. COVID-19 is still an issue and their only precaution is to 'wipe down the tables'. Their website says "All employees will wear gloves and change them frequently to avoid cross contamination", but nobody I saw working there was wearing gloves or wearing a face mask.

Crawfish was on point... even to go. I’m not a fan of taking certain foods to go bc it’s better fresh out of the kitchen but the crawfish was still delicious as ever and the price is amazing!!! I will be ordering more to go until all this madness is over with. Can’t wait to dine in again too

This was my first time at the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. I like that the menu has less expensive choices as well as more expensive options. The food was delicious and my kids enjoyed their meals. Huge win for me as I have two kids that enjoyed the restaurant. Will definitely go back!

If there was a way to leave 0 stars I would. Just unbelievable the experience from beginning to end. Asked for a table away from the entry point and although several tables were empty we were taken to an uncleaned table. The hostess was nice enough to wipe it down yet it wasn't dried for 15 minutes before someone finally decided to come see why we were standing looking at the soaked table. Finally the table is dried and we are asked if we can be helped we ask for a couple minutes to review the menu and 30 minutes later we ask for a manager. Instead of coming to our table the manager goes the opposite direction I assume to go find our waiter so a couple minutes later as we are walking out the door does our waiter ask if he can get us a drink.

I have been coming to TADS since day one and there is no place like this in the greater West Side of Houston area and Katy.... they are truly genuinely authentic Creole food they serve a fabulous brunch the traditional Cajun crabcakes or alligator & yummy Boudin... They have all you can eat catfish a Fabalous Chicken Berry pecan salad... this place deserves 10 stars you can’t go wrong with the menu it’s amazing not to mention that The GM is Dory Who goes above and beyond for managing to helping in the kitchen to making drinks to keep in the restaurant nonpoint if you ever get opportunity to go in there and ask for her and ask for her drink called the witchy woman which is a cocktail with a small bottle of champagne turned upside down it⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️They did an awesome promotion in July 2020 every weekend it was free breakfast of your choice for all customers what a great way to Give back to as way to go Tads 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Wish I could say I dined in here. After calling and confirming the kitchen was still serving, myself and a guest showed up. When we arrived 2 different employees saw us and made no effort to assist us. One employee came to the front and rather rudely let us know the kitchen was closed. I informed her I'd spoken with a staff member not even 10 minutes prior. She told me she didn't know who I had spoken to but, the info was wrong. Again, very rude and I was quite disappointed to be treated in such a way. Seems like good customer service isn't a priority to all establishments.

I loved the place. I was craving for Mexican but I was super hungry and stopped because it was closer 😜. I loved the place, the food and the drinks. We had Jambalaya and I’m not an expert on Louisiana’s food, but it was amazing!!!!! For drinks we had a Margarita that it was too salty, but ok and another cocktail (blue). Super good.They have live music, but just the right volume, the right songs. Nothing crazy Our waitress was new, but very nice, very attentive.I’m definitely coming back and recommending this place

I've been to Tad's a handful of times and I cannot remember anytime that I've had a bad experience. This last time, the staff was amazing, attentive, and very friendly. And not just the cute ones! Which there are a few.... Anyway, the food came out in a decent amount of time and the quality is top notch. I got the buffalo chicken sliders, on the waitresses suggestion, and was blown away with how amazing they two sandwiches were. Full of flavor, not overly dresses with mayo or sauce, and the bread was slightly toasted. Coupled with some really tasty pickles and this was a dish that's already making me want to go back for more! I almost don't want to give such a high rating so I can keep this place more to myself and not overcrowded. Seriously though, consistently one of the best dining experiences around!

All you can eat catfish on sunday.. but dont plan on taking any home. They'd rather waste the food by throwing it away than give you a to go box.

Enjoyed Sunday special of all you can catfish for ten dollars! Menu reflected a great variety of menu choices. Will definitely return to try the different choices! Service was good.

Today I bought 2lbs of boil shrimp, 4 pounds of crawfish, and a kids catfish. The shrimp were good and nice size and the kid meal was good too. The crawfish was terrible, they had zero flavor and the heads had no juice at all. Its like they put the crawfish in the steamer and sprinkled some lite seasoning on top. I expected a lot more when paying premium price on crawfish. I would be embarrassed to service this claiming to be a Cajon restaurant.

Had my mother's birthday dinner here. She requested fried shrimp. Did she get it!? No, she got some of the best stuffed shrimp she's had. I ordered blackened catfish with etouffee and it was superb. Restaurant was very well decorated. Servers and owners were very willing to accommodate. Would absolutely recommend. Will be back.

Just ate at TaD’s! They have amazing food, massive portion sizes, and excellent service!

I enjoyed dining so much the first time I took my wife the first Friday of this month, (March), I chose it as the place she took me to dinner for my birthday, Friday March 13th. The service is great and the food is delicious.

Let’s start. First they forgot our drink order. Second, we ordered fried seafood and requested extra tartar sauce and got none at all. Third the food was not good. The fried oysters tasted old and the potato salad was not good as well as the etouffee was bad. Lastly we ordered bread pudding and ice cream for dessert. The bread pudding was stale and tasteless. The ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn and it had a big chunk of ice in it. I would not recommend this place and we will never eat from Tads again.

Best spot to buy something when in a rush. The service is swift, pricing is affordable, good mood. Will come back again

Great to eat crawfish but the etouffe was not good

Great atmosphere, service was great. Ettouffe tasted like it was burned, fried oysters, and hush puppies were extremely over cooked. Boudin is good (still can't top Best Stops). Overall, we plan on giving it another try on a different day.

I was there for a dinner meeting of about fifty, and was amazed at how well executed the dinner was. Good hot food, good service, fast refills, even easy parking. Staff was present but not intrusive during the presentation. All in all, an excellent dinner for a large group.

Nice place, great atmosphere.. I ordered salmon and the husband ordered fried catfish, the catfish waa awesome and plenty of it! My salmon was good and moist but nothing special from any other place I tried before .. other then that will be back again to try something else ...

Great Crawfish. Fried oysters were good too. They had a nice band playing called CCRider. Really good music. I'd recommend it.

Good day, I'm still in his restaurant, The location is good, the restaurant is presentable, clean, the service was good, we are eating crawfish with my husband, we love to eat in season; But customer service is LOUD !!! They give us the bowl, without dishes, I ask for a plate and bring a tray with sauces, I ask for the plate again and he says “I brought him that one there”, he comes back and I ask for the plate again and I think he did not like it, we finished and We ordered another 2 pounds more! I say "with potatoes and corn" you say safe?!?! And he asks my husband to confirm the order !!! WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT? Bring the bucket and a plate and do not bring where to place the garbage, (I do not know if you intend to leave it on the table). It is sad that I could not enjoy my food at ease, although very delicious! I write this so that you can train your employees in customer service, the idea of ​​a business is to bring customers, I hope they improve.

Food is down home Louisiana for sure!!! I'm from Lafayette and this is the BEST!! My 1st time here, but sure won't be my last! Easy to find. Plenty parking. Huge restaurant that has a bar side and more family oriented on other side. Staff is nice, and helpful. Food seasoned just right, and serving size is just how we do it back home, always too much!!! I def recommend to anyone that wants the authentic flavor of Louisiana. 5 stars PLUS!!! Thanks Morgan for great service!!💯👍

Really enjoyable meal. Great service, great food. My husband had the etouffe and said it was good. I had the chicken fried chicken and baked potato and it was really, really good. Their bread pudding was also great.

The food and service were amazing! It was soooooo good and flavorful! I even stuffed myself to try the delicious bread pudding...it was worth it! Great local spot and I'll definitely be back!

Absolutely an awesome experience. Super yummy food, super chill atmosphere, great music and awesome staff! Going back for sure! Our waiter even made a life long friend, with my son (he give him fries to go). 😁 Way to go above and beyond. Highly recommending!

Beware they are now charging a 20% gratuity on to go orders with out even asking. They gave me the price with it included. I don't have a issue tipping but I don't like being forced.

Recommended for Cajuns.Real Cajun boiled crawfish! I have been searching for boiled crawfish the way it is done in Acadian since I moved to Houston 8 years ago and had almost given up. Glad I tried TaD's last night. The crawfish were cooked perfectly and the spice level was medium to hot. They even give you corn and potatoes with the order which no one one else in Houston does. My beautiful wife had the blackened shrimp salad and said that it was good.The service was great and the prices were in line for crawfish this time of year.I'm a purest and don't like the sauced crawfish and TaD's delivers the Real Cajun deal!

It's clean and has a good atmosphere. We have been there a few times for lunch and everything has been great. It really should be like a 4.5.

The service was horrible the waitress did not know if it was happy hour or not came back to table 3 times to have us change things. People that came in after us were served their crawfish first. Don't think that was right the waitress was socializing instead of waiting on her tables

I've been twice so far and enjoyed it both times! Really good service! They keep it a bit too cold in there. 4-5 degrees warmer would be just right.

The last two times I've gotten crawfish there it was amazing, but this last time it was mediocre at best. The crawfish were small which I know they can't control but it was overcooked and mushy.

Back to business, we’re glad to be back at our favorite local restaurant! The food is amazing as always.
